As a civilization, we are entering what many call the beginning of the Second Machine Age. Advancements in robotics, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and other emerging technologies are growing exponentially, and the United States is the leader in all of these spaces (for now). Many jobs from the past decade have become obsolete and due to the pandemic others will disappear. We are not ready for the economic change that will come naturally in the next several years, let alone a global pandemic that now forces our hands.
That is why we are focused on the York Plan 2.0. Our goal is to institute this new 15-point outline as a national blueprint. Many people are falling ill or unable to work due to the risk of infection. Businesses are shutting their doors, some never to open again. Demand for essential products is not being met. There’s a significant need to produce items such as ventilators, test kits, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment and supplies – and quickly. We must issue a call to action to address this global pandemic. Let us engage with and mobilize our best minds in government, industry, academia, non-profits and faith-based groups across the our nation to join us in this mission. Our mission is not only to address this pandemic but to secure the United States’ future as a leader in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
